Maggie Hutchison of Lewisburg

Maggie Hutchison of Lewisburg has joined Mountain State Spotlight’s Board of Directors.

Hutchison served more than 25 years in the Department of Defense, including more than 20 years in senior management and leadership positions. She served eight years as Deputy Director of a major operational directorate within the Naval Air Systems Command where she managed more than 200 employees.

Later, as a consultant, Hutchison worked on strategic planning and business plan development, executive and management development, and deployment of learning management systems with the Navy and Defense Department.

After moving to West Virginia, Hutchison was instrumental in the success of Hope Village, a new neighborhood of 36 homes built to house survivors of the 2016 flood in White Sulphur Springs. Her work also contributed to the economic development of the nonprofit Main Street WSS and its efforts to revitalize the community.

Hutchison is chair of the Greenbrier River Trail Foundation where she has significantly increased grant funding for critical maintenance projects such as trail surfacing, parking, bridge re-decking, and other amenities. She is a member of the Board for the Family Activity Center in White Sulphur Springs and a volunteer for Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg.
