When asked by Mountain State Spotlight “What’s one thing you want West Virginia voters to know about your platform?” the candidate replied:

Transparency in city business: I believe what the city is doing should be widely available to the general public. The current city website can only be described as a nightmare to navigate, which is tragic because citizens will often be told, “Well, you can find that on the website.” The website needs to be updated and easy to navigate.
Fiscal responsibility: As a retired accountant, I bring over 35 years of accounting and business management experience to the job, and I will work hard to make sure that your taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly.
Affordable housing: Our city is in critical need of affordable housing for all socio-economic groups. I want to look closely at what the Development office has accomplished in bridging this need, but also what has not worked, and if it is possible to improve the programs to increase the outcomes. I will also encourage local citizens, non-profit organizations, and developers to share ideas as to how we can increase the number of housing units in our city.
