My wife, Shellie and I, have been life-long residents of Cabell County where we have enjoyed raising our four kids. I have had the fortune of serving the citizens of Cabell for thirty years. My tenure has afforded me the ability to work in all aspects of the Sheriff’s Dept. including specialized divisions such as road patrol, drug unit, K-9, etc. with the last seven years spent in administration. Throughout my career, it has been a privilege to have fostered community relations with citizens I have served as well as various organizations I am proud to be involved with. As a parent of young children, my top priority is ensuring a safe and healthy environment for my children to grow up in. It is my goal, if elected Sheriff of Cabell County, to focus on school safety, growing our D.A.R.E. Program and building trusted relationships with our youth. As always, I have an open-door policy. I realize it may not be ideal for some members of the community to make a trip to the courthouse so it is my plan to dedicate a position strictly as Community Liaison, a deputy, that will plan monthly meetings in communities to provide citizens with updated information pertaining to their neighborhoods, for members to share concerns, be present, etc. No one person can achieve these goals without the support of the community. This is why, together, we can make a difference. I look forward to working with you all.
