At Mountain State Spotlight, we believe in the power of journalism to drive meaningful change in our communities. Four years ago a dedicated group of visionaries launched this nonprofit newsroom aimed at reporting on the issues that matter most to West Virginians.
Since then, we’ve uncovered abuses of power, provided vital information, and offered a platform for the many diverse voices in our state—completely free to all.
In order to keep reporting, we need your help. To continue our mission, we created the 100 West Virginians and Friends Campaign. We aim to gather support from at least 100 individuals who will each commit to donating at least $1,000 in 2024.
